The Subway...Utah's version, in Zion National Park

We were able to take advantage of grandparent babysitters and hike the Subway in ion National park.  It was AWESOME!!!!!!  I want to hike it annually!  So beautiful!

Amazing how the water cuts through the rock

We went with my brother, Tosh, and my sister Kenzi and her husband, along with one of their friends.  Tosh shattered his ankle a few miles into the hike last year, and crawled/hopped his way though.  After hiking it I can't fathom how they managed to get him out last year!  He made it through without any mishaps this year :)

This is where the name "Subway" comes from-- see how the water has carved a huge semi-tunnel?
Crazy to see how perfectly the rock had split along the fault lines.

Brandon would always eat cactus fruit when we lived in AZ, and he was excited to find some to snack on

National Parks are our most treasured landscapes and what better way to view their astounding beauty than from the luxury and comfort of a passenger train. Train travel is unique in that you can see many vistas not accessible from highway or air.

One of my absolute favorite national parks - I keep returning there, instead of exploring other ones because it's breathtakingly beautiful, to the point of bringing tears to my eyes. Utterly amazing place.
